Better Late Than Never!
Hello all,
Welcome to Central Florida Cycling! We are finally up and running for the 2009-2010 school year. Just a reminder that there is a club meeting this Thursday October 1st, 2009 in room BA207. The meeting will be at 8:30pm and we will go over info about club uniforms and water bottles. This meeting will also be used so club members can share new ideas that will make this club more successful. So put your thinking caps on and come with fresh ideas you think will benefit the club. If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me at ramon_banacki@yahoo.com. As always, ride safe and train hard.
Sincerely,
Ramon Banacki

Hi guys,
I won't be able to join on the mountain bike ride this weekend, but feel free to go without me. I'll suggest the normal 10AM starting time at Snow Hill, but talk to each other and change the time this weekend if you like.
I'll see you all next time,
--AJ

Club Announcements
1) Tomorrow (Wednesday April 8th) from 3pm to 6pm, the Sports Club Council will have an end of the year banquet. They will host the event at the Leisure Pool on campus. There will be food, games and a DJ and it's totally free.
2) The next event is a volunteer/charity event I believe it would be wise of us to participate in. It's a great cause and will be a lot of fun.
What?: Parramore Kidz Zone Pedal 4 Pride Bicycle Ride
When?: Saturday, May 4. The ride starts at 9:00 a.m. and will continue until we’ve tired out the most energetic kids;
volunteer bike repair begins at 8:00 a.m.
Where?: The ride starts at Jackson Community Center at the corner of Westmoreland Ave. and Carter St.,
and will pick up more kids at four more spots along the way.
Here’s why we need you:
Ride Mentors: the more the merrier. We need plenty of experienced adult cyclists to mix with the kids,
demonstrate good cycling behavior, share their years of cycling wisdom, and just encourage the kids and have a good time.
Route Markers: We need two teams of two to mark the routes the day before and make sure all’s in place the morning of.
There will be three routes: the shorter 4-mile little kids route, a longer 7-mile big kids route, and longer
15- to 20-mile route for the more athletic kids.
Wrenches: Experienced mechanics are needed to ensure the kids (and parents!) bikes are safe and ready to ride.
We are also trying to give away to the kids some old bikes confiscated by Orlando Police and Lynx; those bikes will need
some work ahead of time so they can be ready the day-of.
Helmet Fitters: Those with experience on fitting helmets are needed to ensure the kids have them on correctly.
If you can make this event, let me know asap by replying with at YES!!!!!
3) The third and final event is our year end BBQ. I will host it at my apartment, which is just off campus at TIVOLI. We will be going for a fun ride (nothing fast) for about an hour and then come back to TIVOLI and go swimming and have hotdogs, hamburgers and cookies!!!
It will be on May 1st at 5:00 pm. Please RSVP for this event by April 30th, so i know how much food to get.

Armada Time Trial

Good news!
Central Florida Cycling participated in it's first training race of the season! Justin Sanak, Steven DeWitt, and Ramon Banacki all competed in a 4.1 mile TT put on by Team Armada. Justin posted the best time for the team at 10 min exactly, holding an impressive 24.60mph average pace. Ramon came in 2nd for the team with a time of 10:28 with an average speed of 23.58mph. Unfortunately, Steven's time was not posted on the official results but he did finish the race strong! Great job to all the cyclists who participated in the race and I hope to see even more CFC jerseys out there next time!
Keep riding,
Ramon Banacki

Team Armada Time Trial
Hello Everyone,
Team Armada is holding an individual time trial race on Jan 18th, 2008 in the Lake Mary/Sanford area. This is the perfect way to tell what type of shape you are in and see how hard you can push yourself. It is a 4.1 mile one-way time trial that is non-technical. These races are great for beginners and experts alike. It is only $10 to enter online or $15 the day of the race. Sign up for the race begins at 8:00 am and the first rider is on the road at 9:00am. For more information about the race go to http://team-armada.blogspot.com/2008/11/lake-marysanford-2009-tt-series.html and to sign up online please visit http://www.bikereg.com/events/register.asp?eventid=7371. Please feel free to e-mail at ramon_banacki@yahoo.com if you have any question about the race or if you are attending. I myself will be there and I would love some company!
